2021 SR bird1.jpg

In this new art installation, Clark examines what it means to be a white, middle-class woman who is an artist, wife, and mother. Using cast plaster, tissue paper mache, and cheesecloth, the artist combines Greek pillars, a vintage baptismal dress, an antique Victorian teapot, and a lamp to creates metaphors to explore notions of race, class, culture, gender, family, and vocation.

The exhibit will include a virtual opening at the gallery on January 7 at 6:00 p.m. See the events calendar for supporting events throughout the month.
